The university is seeking to set up a modern university for its student population. Their aim is to have a structure that encourages student interaction and access to outdoor areas while at the same time providing quiet spaces for private reading. The structure is modeled around the manyatta which is the traditional home of the Neighboring Maasai community with the roof depicting an open book. The library will have a sitting capacity of 350 students at any one time.
